She had the good idea to register for one of the free guided tours. I had visited once before, but going this time with the wonderful history and information that our guide John shared made it so much more fun! Highly recommend if you visit. The next month or so will be one of the best times of the year to visit as the leaves change color. Their website even has a [Fall Colors Tracker](https://japanesegarden.org/seasonal-trackers/fall-colors-tracker-2026/?ref=brynnilsen.com)! ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/3f/1a/3f1a5bc8-4e8b-43ec-bcfd-6e772719b80b/content/images/2026/10/Portland-Japanese-Garden-with-Kait-1.jpg) ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/3f/1a/3f1a5bc8-4e8b-43ec-bcfd-6e772719b80b/content/images/2026/10/Portland-Japanese-Garden-with-Kait-2.jpg) ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/3f/1a/3f1a5bc8-4e8b-43ec-bcfd-6e772719b80b/content/images/2026/10/Portland-Japanese-Garden-with-Kait-3.jpg) ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/3f/1a/3f1a5bc8-4e8b-43ec-bcfd-6e772719b80b/content/images/2026/10/Portland-Japanese-Garden-with-Kait-4.jpg) ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/3f/1a/3f1a5bc8-4e8b-43ec-bcfd-6e772719b80b/content/images/2026/10/Portland-Japanese-Garden-with-Kait-5.jpg) ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/3f/1a/3f1a5bc8-4e8b-43ec-bcfd-6e772719b80b/content/images/2026/10/Portland-Japanese-Garden-with-Kait-6.jpg) ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/3f/1a/3f1a5bc8-4e8b-43ec-bcfd-6e772719b80b/content/images/2026/10/Portland-Japanese-Garden-with-Kait-7.jpg) ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/3f/1a/3f1a5bc8-4e8b-43ec-bcfd-6e772719b80b/content/images/2026/10/Portland-Japanese-Garden-with-Kait-8.jpg) ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/3f/1a/3f1a5bc8-4e8b-43ec-bcfd-6e772719b80b/content/images/2026/10/Portland-Japanese-Garden-with-Kait-9.jpg) ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/3f/1a/3f1a5bc8-4e8b-43ec-bcfd-6e772719b80b/content/images/2026/10/Portland-Japanese-Garden-with-Kait-10.jpg) ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/3f/1a/3f1a5bc8-4e8b-43ec-bcfd-6e772719b80b/content/images/2026/10/Portland-Japanese-Garden-with-Kait-11.jpg) ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/3f/1a/3f1a5bc8-4e8b-43ec-bcfd-6e772719b80b/content/images/2026/10/Portland-Japanese-Garden-with-Kait-12.jpg) ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/3f/1a/3f1a5bc8-4e8b-43ec-bcfd-6e772719b80b/content/images/2026/10/Portland-Japanese-Garden-with-Kait-13.jpg) ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/3f/1a/3f1a5bc8-4e8b-43ec-bcfd-6e772719b80b/content/images/2026/10/Portland-Japanese-Garden-with-Kait-14.jpg) ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/3f/1a/3f1a5bc8-4e8b-43ec-bcfd-6e772719b80b/content/images/2026/10/Portland-Japanese-Garden-with-Kait-15.jpg) ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/3f/1a/3f1a5bc8-4e8b-43ec-bcfd-6e772719b80b/content/images/2026/10/Portland-Japanese-Garden-with-Kait-16.jpg) ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/3f/1a/3f1a5bc8-4e8b-43ec-bcfd-6e772719b80b/content/images/2026/10/Portland-Japanese-Garden-with-Kait-17.jpg) ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/3f/1a/3f1a5bc8-4e8b-43ec-bcfd-6e772719b80b/content/images/2026/10/Portland-Japanese-Garden-with-Kait-18.jpg) ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/3f/1a/3f1a5bc8-4e8b-43ec-bcfd-6e772719b80b/content/images/2026/10/Portland-Japanese-Garden-with-Kait-19.jpg) ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/3f/1a/3f1a5bc8-4e8b-43ec-bcfd-6e772719b80b/content/images/2026/10/Portland-Japanese-Garden-with-Kait-20.jpg) ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/3f/1a/3f1a5bc8-4e8b-43ec-bcfd-6e772719b80b/content/images/2026/10/Portland-Japanese-Garden-with-Kait-21.jpg) ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/3f/1a/3f1a5bc8-4e8b-43ec-bcfd-6e772719b80b/content/images/2026/10/Portland-Japanese-Garden-with-Kait-22.jpg) ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/3f/1a/3f1a5bc8-4e8b-43ec-bcfd-6e772719b80b/content/images/2026/10/Portland-Japanese-Garden-with-Kait-23.jpg) ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/3f/1a/3f1a5bc8-4e8b-43ec-bcfd-6e772719b80b/content/images/2026/10/Portland-Japanese-Garden-with-Kait-24.jpg) ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/3f/1a/3f1a5bc8-4e8b-43ec-bcfd-6e772719b80b/content/images/2026/10/Portland-Japanese-Garden-with-Kait-25.jpg) ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/3f/1a/3f1a5bc8-4e8b-43ec-bcfd-6e772719b80b/content/images/2026/10/Portland-Japanese-Garden-with-Kait-26.jpg) ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/3f/1a/3f1a5bc8-4e8b-43ec-bcfd-6e772719b80b/content/images/2026/10/Portland-Japanese-Garden-with-Kait-27.jpg) ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/3f/1a/3f1a5bc8-4e8b-43ec-bcfd-6e772719b80b/content/images/2026/10/Portland-Japanese-Garden-with-Kait-28.jpg) ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/3f/1a/3f1a5bc8-4e8b-43ec-bcfd-6e772719b80b/content/images/2026/10/Portland-Japanese-Garden-with-Kait-29.jpg) ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/3f/1a/3f1a5bc8-4e8b-43ec-bcfd-6e772719b80b/content/images/2026/10/Portland-Japanese-Garden-with-Kait-30.jpg) ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/3f/1a/3f1a5bc8-4e8b-43ec-bcfd-6e772719b80b/content/images/2026/10/Portland-Japanese-Garden-with-Kait-31.jpg) ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/3f/1a/3f1a5bc8-4e8b-43ec-bcfd-6e772719b80b/content/images/2026/10/Portland-Japanese-Garden-with-Kait-32.jpg) Thanks for checking out my photos and [subscribing](https://www.brynnilsen.com/#/portal/) to Bryn Mag!
